As part of the SECUREU project, six partners have developed best practice case studies showcasing successful applications of the ISO 31000 standard in security risk management. In addition, the project has created 12 practical tasks designed to help students apply theoretical knowledge in real-world scenarios. These tasks can be easily integrated into lectures, providing hands-on experience in security risk assessment and management.
All these materials are available for free in digital format on the project website: https://security.turiba.lv. Any university or educational institution is encouraged to use these materials to enhance their security-related study programs and provide students with valuable, practice-oriented learning resources.
Although the SECUREU project will conclude at the end of December 2025, the materials have already been integrated into study programs and will be actively used in the learning process starting next semester in partner universities and other educational institutions across Europe. These resources will help students gain essential risk management skills, preparing them for future careers in security-related fields.
Meanwhile, these materials are being translated into Latvian and will be published as a book in Latvia in the spring of 2025, further increasing their accessibility and impact.
